\huge{SOLUTION}

GIVEN :

D = 12.5cm

d = 3.5 cm

=> R = 12.5 /2

and r = 3.5/2

Area of larger circle

 = \pi {R}^{2}

 = 3.14 \times 12.5 \div 2 \times 12.5 \div 2

 = 122.65

Area of smaller circle

 = \pi {r}^{2}

 = 3.14 \times 3.5 \div 2 \times 3.5 \div 2

 = 9.61

Now ,

Area of shaded region = Area of larger circle - Area of smaller circle

= 122.65 - 9.61

= 113.4 cm^2
