This half digested food goes to the second muscular chamber; the reticulum. From the reticulum the food is sent back to the mouth; as cud; to be chewed again. Chewing of the cud is called rumination and such animals are called ruminating animals or ruminants

Explanation:
half digested food is sent back to mouth as cud in ruminants because they're herbivores as a result they can't wait for to long at a unsecure place . They fastly eat all the food in small lumps which goes to rumen wher it is partially digested . Then when they come to a secure place , it returns in there mouth for chewing the lumps of food.some example of ruminants are cow , deer etc.
hope it helps.
