I hope this will help you plsssss mark as brainliest .........

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number of deer in the herd be x

no of deer grazing  = 1/2 * x = x/2

no of deer playing  = 3/4 * x/2 = 3x/8

no of deer drinking water =  9

x/2 + 3x/8 +9 = x

8x + 6x /16 + 9 = x

14x/16 + 9 = x

7x/8 + 9 = x

9 = x - 7x/8

9 = 8x - 7x/8

9 = x/8

x/8 = 9

x = 9 * 8

x = 72

No of deer grazing = 72/2

                                  = 36

No of deer playing  = 3x/8

                                  = 216/8

                                  = 27

Total deer = 36 + 27 + 9

                  = 72
