Step-by-step explanation:

let the total no. of deer = x

deer grazing in the field = \frac{x}{2}

deer playing = \frac{x}{2}× \frac{3}{4} =  \frac{3x}{8}

A/q

\frac{x}{2}+\frac{3x}{8}+9 = x

\frac{4x+3x+72}{8} = x

⇒4x+3x+72 = 8x

⇒7x+72 = 8x

⇒8x-7x = 72

⇒x = 72

So, the no. of deer in the herd = 72

Hiii MATe ☺☺

4x+3x+72 = 8x

4x+3x+72 = 8x⇒7x+72 = 8x

4x+3x+72 = 8x⇒7x+72 = 8x⇒8x-7x = 72

4x+3x+72 = 8x⇒7x+72 = 8x⇒8x-7x = 72⇒x = 72

4x+3x+72 = 8x⇒7x+72 = 8x⇒8x-7x = 72⇒x = 72So, the no. of deer in the herd = 72
