Let us assume the number be 'x'

In Question say half of a number then x/2

=>when it added to 5/4 =>x/2+5/4

=>when it added to 5/4 gives 15/4 =>x/2+5/4=15/4

Now, According to Question let's solve:-

 =  >  \frac{x}{2}  +  \frac{5}{4}  =  \frac{15}{4}

L.C.M OF 2&4 IS 4

 =  >  \frac{2x + 5}{4}  =  \frac{15}{4}

Here ,we notice that 4 is on both side it gets cancelled.

 =  > 2x + 5 = 15

 =  > 2x = 15 - 5

 =  > 2x = 10

 \bold{\red{=  > x = 5}}

Hence, the number is x/2 is \bold{\red{5/2}}

Now,let's check

 =  >  \frac{5}{2}  +  \frac{5}{4}  =  \frac{10 + 5}{4}  =  \frac{15}{4}
