So, the equation can be formed as,


$\frac{x}{2} + \frac{x}{4} + 10 = x$

$\frac{x}{2} + \frac{x}{4} - x = - 10$

$\frac{2x + x - 4x}{4} = - 10$

$\frac{ - x}{4} = - 10$


cancelling the - sign , we have

$\frac{x}{4} = 10$

$x = 10 \times 4$
x = 40
