Heya..

Here's your answer..

____________________________

Let breadth be x metres.

Thus length will be x+8 metres.

Now,perimeter of rectangle is 2(length+breadth)=2(x+x+8)

=2(2x+8)

Also it is given that half of perimeter is 36 m.
So perimeter is 36*2=72 m

Therefore on comparision..

4x+16=72
4x=72-16
4x=56

So x comes out to be 14 m

Thus length=14+8=22 m
breadth=14 m

hey.
.
.
Consider the width of garden = x

length of the garden = y

According of the question

x + 8 = y .................... ( 1 )

x + y = 36 .................. ( 2 )

putting the value of y from equation ( 1 ) in equation ( 2 )

x + x + 8 = 36

2x + 8 = 36

2x = 28

x = 14

y = x + 8 = 14 + 8 = 22

So , length = 22 m and breadth = 14 m ..
