Answer:

Let take length be x meters

Let take Breadth be y meters

Given half perimeter of rectangular garden is 36m.

 \frac{1}  {2}    \times  {{2(lenght  + breadth)} }= 36

or x + y = 36

x + y - 36 = 0 ......(1)

Also, lenght is 4m more than its width

(Length) = 4 + (Breadth)

or x = 4 + (y)

x - y - 4 = 0 .....(2)

We get,

x + y - 36 = 0...(1)

x - y - 4 = 0 ....(2)

taking elimination method. We get,

2x - 40 = 0

2x = 40

x = 40/2

x = 20

put x value in equation 1

We have, x + y - 36 = 0

After putting the value. We get,

20 + y - 36 = 0

y - 14 = 0

y = 14

Hence, Length = 20m and Breadth = 14m.
