then,

(l+b)/2=36

(l+b)=72    ........    Perimeter of a rectangle is 2(l+b).

we are given that ,

length=x+4

then width=4

on putting the value of it in the formula

we get ,

4+x+x=72

4+2x=72

2x=68

x=34 m

and x+4=38 m

length=38 m

width= 34 m.
