Let width be x

Length= 4+ x

Perimeter /2 = 36 ( given)

Perimeter = 2 (l+b)

Half the perimeter = l+b

Applying the formula

l+b =36

x + 4 + x = 36

2x = 36- 4

x = 32 /2 = 16

Width = x = 16

Length = x + 4 = 16 + 4 = 20

Thanks
