half the perimeter of a rectangular garden whose length is 4m more than its width is 36m after finding eq 1 and 2 how to solve algebraically through elimination method​

Answer:

perimeter = 2 (l + b)

half perimeter = l + b but l = b + 4

so, 36 = l + b

and 4 = l - b

adding both equation

40 = 2l

l = 40 / 2 = 20

b = 20 - 4 = 16
