Let the width be x.
then length be x+4
A/Q-
l+b=36
x+(x+4)=36
2x+4=36
2x=36-4
2x=32
x=16.
Hence, The length of garden will be 20 m and width will be 16 m.

perimeter =2 (l+b)
half peri. 36m= (l+b)
let breadth=x
length= 4x
perimeter= 2×36
= 72m
perimeter = 2 (l+b)
72= 2 (4+x+x)
36= 4+2x
36-4=2x
32= 2x
32/2=x
16=x
breadth=16
length= x+4=16+4=20

raveesh255: sorry there's a mistake in length there should be 4x sorry for mistake.
raveesh255: 4+x
