Answer:

Let the width of the garden =x meter

Then length=(x+4) meter

Half perimeter =36 m

So perimeter of garden =(2×36)=72 meters

According to the question

⇒2(l+b)=72

⇒2(x+x+4)=72

⇒2x+2x+4=74⇒4x=64⇒x=16 meters

Hence, the width of the garden =16 meters

The length of the garden =(16+4)=20 meters

Answer:

The length and width of the rectangular garden is 20 cm and 16 cm respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

\bigstar\sf{Solution :-}

➦Half Perimeter = 36 cm

➦Length is = 4 cm more than width

➦Dimensions of the garden = ??

Let,

⟶Width of rectangle = x

⟶Length of rectangle = x + 4

⟶Half Perimeter of rectangle = 36 cm

★ According to the Question :

⟶x + (x + 4) = 36

⟶2x + 4 = 36

⟶2x = 36 - 4

⟶ 2x = 32

⟶x = 32 / 2

⟶ x = 16

Width of rectangle = 16 cm

★ Length of rectangle =

→ x + 4

→ 16 + 4

→ 20

Length of rectangle = 20 cm

The dimensions =

  • Length = 20 cm
  • Width = 16 cm

Therefore, the length and width of the rectangular garden is 20 cm and 16 cm respectively.
