Answer:-----

Step-by-step explanation:--

Given:-

Half the perimeter of a rectangular garden whose length is 4 m more than its width is 36 m.

To Find :-

Dimensions of the garden.

Solution:-

Let Length = x

Let Breadth = y

Perimeter of Rectangular garden = 2 (x + y)

1/2 perimeter = 2/2(x + y)

x + y = 36 ------ (i)

x = y + 4 ---------(ii)

Substituting x value in equation (i)

⇒ x + y = 36

⇒ y + 4 + y = 36

⇒ 2y = 36 - 4

2y = 32

⇒ y = 32/2

⇒ y = 16

Putting y value in equation (ii)

⇒ x = y + 4

⇒ x = 16 + 4

⇒ x = 20

Hence, Length is 20 m and Breadth is 16 m.

Answer:

It is given that, half of the Perimeter of reactangular garden is 36 :]

So,

➦ 2(l + b)/2 = 36

➦ l + b = 36.......[Equation (i)]

Now,

Let width be x

and length be x + 4

Putting this values in equation (i) we get,

➝ l + b = 36

➝ x + x + 4 = 36

➝ 2x + 4 = 36

➝ 2x = 36 - 4

➝ 2x = 32

➝ x = 32/2

➝ x = 16 m

Therefore,

Width of reactangular garden = x = 16 m

Length of the reactangular garden = x + 4 = 16 + 4 = 20 m
