Half the perimeter of a rectangular garden, whose length is 4 more than its width,is 36m. find the dimensions of the garden.​

let the length of the rectangular Garden is X metre

and let the breadth of the rectangle Garden Y metre

give half perimeter of rectangle Garden is 36m

1/2{2(length+breadth) }=36

x+y=36 ......... (1)

also length is 4 metre more than its width

x=4+y

x-y=4 .......... (2)

now plotting equation

x+y=36 .......(1)

x-y=4 .......(2)

x = 20, y=16
