Let the width of the garden =x meter

Let the width of the garden =x meterThen length=(x+4) meter

Let the width of the garden =x meterThen length=(x+4) meterHalf perimeter =36 m

Let the width of the garden =x meterThen length=(x+4) meterHalf perimeter =36 mSo perimeter of garden =(2×36)=72 meters

Let the width of the garden =x meterThen length=(x+4) meterHalf perimeter =36 mSo perimeter of garden =(2×36)=72 metersAccording to the question

Let the width of the garden =x meterThen length=(x+4) meterHalf perimeter =36 mSo perimeter of garden =(2×36)=72 metersAccording to the question⇒2(l+b)=72

Let the width of the garden =x meterThen length=(x+4) meterHalf perimeter =36 mSo perimeter of garden =(2×36)=72 metersAccording to the question⇒2(l+b)=72⇒2(x+x+4)=72

Let the width of the garden =x meterThen length=(x+4) meterHalf perimeter =36 mSo perimeter of garden =(2×36)=72 metersAccording to the question⇒2(l+b)=72⇒2(x+x+4)=72⇒2x+2x+4=74⇒4x=64⇒x=16 meters

Let the width of the garden =x meterThen length=(x+4) meterHalf perimeter =36 mSo perimeter of garden =(2×36)=72 metersAccording to the question⇒2(l+b)=72⇒2(x+x+4)=72⇒2x+2x+4=74⇒4x=64⇒x=16 metersHence,the width of the garden =16 meters

Answer:

let the breadth be y

then,

length is y+4

according to question,

2(l+b)/2= 36

l+b=36

y+y+4=36

2y+4=36

2y=36-4

y= 32/2

y=16

hence breadth is 16 m

and length =16+4=20m

hope it helps you
