Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l+b)

Half the perimeter ={2(l+b)}/2

Let breadth be x

Length =12+x

Length + breadth =60m

x+12+x=60m

2x+12=60

2x=60-12

2x=48

x=48/2

x=24m

Length =x=24m

Breadth =12+x=24+12=36m

Answer:

l = 36m. & b = 24m

Step-by-step explanation:

let the length be l & breadth be b.

perimeter/2 = 60m

according to question,

l= b+12

perimeter of rectangular garden= 2(l+b)

perimeter/2= l+b

60 = b+12+b

60 = 2b+12

60 = 2(b+6)

60/2 = b+6

30-6 = b

b = 24m

l= b+12

l = 24+12

l= 36m
