Given,

Perimeter of rectangular garden \[ = 46cm\]

Solution,

Know that length is 4 cm more than the breadth of rectangular garden.

Consider the breadth of garden is b.

So length of garden is (b+4).

Perimeter of garden \[{\rm{ = 2}}\left( {{\rm{length + breadth}}} \right)\]

Put the values according to the question,

\[\begin{array}{l}\frac{{{\rm{2}}\left( {{\rm{b + 4 + b}}} \right)}}{2} = 46\\ \Rightarrow 2b + 4 = 46\\ \Rightarrow 2b = 42\\ \Rightarrow b = 21\end{array}\]

Breadth of rectangular garden

\[ = 21cm\]

Length of rectangular garden,

\[\begin{array}{l} = 21 + 4\\ = 25cm\end{array}\]

Hence, the length and breadth of rectangular garden is \[25cm\] and \[21cm\] respectively.
