Hey

Here is your answer,

Let the width be x.
then length be x+4

According to the question,

l+b=36
x+(x+4)=36
2x+4=36
2x=36-4
2x=32
x=16.
Hence, The length of garden will be 20 m and width will be 16 m

Hope it helps you!

Hii There!!

Let the width of the garden be 'x' meters
=) length= [x+4] meters.

Half the Perimeter = 36m (given in the question)

So, perimeter of the garden = (2×36) = 72m

Hence, According to the problem:-

=)2(l+b) = 72

=)2(x+4+x) = 72

=)2x+4 = 72/2 = 36

=)2x = 36-4

=)2x = 32

=) x=32/2

=) x = 16 meters

Therefore, width of the garden is 16 meters and length= [16+4] =) 20 meters .

Hope it helps you :)
