Hallowe'en is a festival celebrated in many western countries on 31st October. What is the season there? Why do you think is there a need to burn leaves on Hallowe'en?

The season during Halloween in western countries will be Autumn, which is the transition from summer to winter.

The word ‘Halloween’ originated from ‘hallowed evening’ or ‘holy evening’. It is celebrated in western countries on 31 October and the day is meant for remembering the dead, which includes all saints and martyrs.

‘Trick or Treat’ is a custom where children in scary costumes visit house to house, asking for ‘treats’ like candy or money. ‘Trick’ means to do some pranks on the home owner or the house, if no ‘treat’ is given. People also carve scary faces on pumpkins, to adorn their houses on this day.
