Hameed has built a cubical water tank with a lid for his house, with each other edge 15m
long. He gets the outer surface of the tank excluding the base, covered with square tiles of
side 25 cm. Find how much he would spend for the tiles, if the cost of tiles is Rs 360 per dozen.

AREA OF TANK = 6a² - a²

= 5a²

= 5 * 15

= 75m²

Area of tile = .25 * .25

= 0.0625m²

No. of tiles = 75 / 0.0625

= 750000/625

= 30000/25

= 1200.

COST OF TILING = ₹1200 * 30

= ₹ 36000.
