Given :  Hansa can afford 12 books when each costs Rs.2436.

To find : How many books could she afford if each costs Rs.2400

Solution:

Hansa can afford 12 books when each costs Rs.2436

Each Bool Cost = 2436

number of books afforded = 12

Total Amount  = 2436 * 12  Rs

Cost of new book   = 2400

Now books can be afforded  =  Amount / new Cost

= 2436 * 12 / 2400

= 2436 / 200

= 1218/100

= 12.18

Books can not be in Decimal

Hence Still 12 Books can be afforded

Still Hansa can can  afford   12 Books
