Actually through intention, Lord Hanuman did not have a son.
But the story goes like this:-
After Burning Lanka, Hanuman rested at one place after putting off the fire in his tail.
He took his sweat and sprinkled it ( normally like we do ). Those sweat drops went into the stomach of a female crocodile and formed a baby.
The baby was named as Makardhwaj.
Once during the battle, Ahi Ravan and Mahi Ravan took Shri Ram and Lakshman to Pathal and decided to sacrifice them.
Hanuman followed them and entered the pathal.
But he was stopped by his son, Makardhwaj who was actually the watch man of Pathal Lok.
He said that he is the son of Hanuman. Hanuman got very angry as he was Brahmacharya. He beat him badly in anger for telling lie.
A big fight continues. Hanuman was surprised that all his powers are also with him.
Later he said that he is Hanuman. Makardhwaj became happy and said what happened.
Later after killing Ahi Ravan and Mahi Ravan, Ram made Makardwaj as king of that part of Pathal lok.
