CONCAVE MIRROR:

1.A mirror which is polished from the bulging side of a hollow sphere, such that

the reflecting side is towards its hollow side is called concave mirror.

2.A ray of light travelling parellel to the principal axis of a concave mirrorr, after reflection passes through the priinciple focus of the mirror.

3.It acts as a converging mirror.

4.Magnification by a concave mirror can be <1,>1  or =1

5.Magnification by a concave mirror can be either positive nor negative.

6.focal lenght is negative.

CONVEX MIRROR:

1.A mirror which is polished from the hollow side of a sphere such that reflecting surface is towards its bulging side is called convex miror.

2.A ray travelling parellel to principal axis of a convex mirror, after reflection appears to diverge from the principle focus of the miror.

3.It acts as a diverging mirror.

4.Magnification by a convex mirror is always<1.

5.Magnification by a convex mirror is always positive.

6.Focal lenght is positive.

1) Concave lens
2)Convex lens

Concave Lens

The lenses used to accomplish these tasks fall into two categories of simple lenses:

Convex and Concave Lenses.

A concave lens is a lens that possesses at least one surface that curves inwards. It is a diverging lens, meaning that it spreads out light rays that have been refracted through it .

A convex lens is thicker at the centre than at the edges. A convex lens is a converginglens. When parallel rays of light pass through a convex lens the refracted rays converge at one point called the principal focus. The distance between the principal focus and the centre of thelens is called the focal length.

Convex lenses are thicker at the middle.Rays of light that pass through the lens are spread out (they diverge).

A concave lens is a diverging lens. When parallel rays of light pass through a concave lens the refracted rays diverge so that they appear to come from one point called the principal focus.

Hope answer thik he hai !!
