Answer:

Independence Day.

Explanation:

Independence day is celebrated in India on August 15 every year. In 1947 August 14th midnight India was declared free from British rule. This year we are celebrating 75th year of Independence. Independence is a collective result of freedom fighters who fought for everyone without even thinking of their lives. So many heroes lost their lives during freedom fights. When India had become a slave to British, Indians were subjected to many tortures. Poverty, taxes , diseases etc did not let them deter from their target. We should always respect and be grateful to them. Champaran Satyagrah, Dandi Yatra are some of the protests that led to revolutionary movements in India. Mahatma Gandhi, Chandra shekhar Azad, Mahadev Govind Ranade, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Raj Guru and others led freedom movements.

Every year on this day the Red Fort Our Prime Minister hoists the tricolor. This program is attended by Special guest usually from other country. It is followed by performances by Air Force , Navy etc. It indeed is proud moment for all of us. This year Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav is being celebrated.

Jai Hind.
