Solution:

Following can be the reasons why bulb does not glow :

The liquid solution in the beaker might be distilled water.

The liquid solution used in the beaker might be a poor conductor of electricity.

The bulb might be fused.

The battery might already be exhausted, sufficient electric charge to light the bulb is not present.

There might be any loose connection in the circuit between the wires, bulb, battery or electrodes.

Distilled water will not illuminate the bulb in the circuit.

  • Pure water can not conduct electricity.
  • It is regarded as a poor conductor, and the current will not flow through it, and the bulb will not glow.
  • In the case of pure water, its molecule does not contain free electrons as it is pure. Hence, pure water remains a bad conductor of electricity.
