Of the several sites discovered of the Harappan Civilization, Manda is the northernmost.

It is located in Akhnoor district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Located on the right bank of Chenab river, Manda was excavated by the Archaeologocial Survey of India around 1976-77.

It is considered that it was created to procure wood from Himalayas and send it downstream.
