look this ques is wrong. triangles qpb and qcd can be proved similar by aaa criteria. but then qp:qc should be equal to pb:cd but as we know that ab=cd and ap=ab/2 hence pb=cd/2 so pb:cd=1:2 and as it is given that qp:qc=1:3 hence there is a contradiction that arises so i feel this ques has got some mistake
