Hard water is caused due to the presence of salt of Ca and Mg. (Option A)

• The hard water is a type of water which produces very less amount of foam when soap is added into the water.

• The hardness of the water is caused by presence of the salt of calcium and magnesium, like calcium chloride and magnesium chloride.

• Removal of these salts is a very difficult process and that's why the transformation of hard water to soft water is very difficult.
