People living near chemical industries are exposed to pollutants released by industries. CO, CO2, SO2, hydrocarbons and particulate matter may cause headache, dizziness, irritation of the eyes and nose, allergies, chest pain and many respiratory disorders. Industrial wastes containing poisonous chemicals dumped in various water bodies contaminate vegetation, surface water as well as ground water. These chemicals find way into all those organisms that eat the vegetation or drink water contaminated with these chemicals. Fishes living in several highly polluted water bodies such as rivers, lakes and along sea shores where untreated chemical effluents are released are found to be so contaminated with poisonous chemicals. These chemicals enter the bodies of people who eat them causing various infectious diseases in their bodies. Some diseases such as diarrhea, jaundice, typhoid, cholera etc. are caused due to contaminated water.

usually people living near the chemical industry have to suffer from bad health as factory owner throw the toxic waste in near by river and this river water is drink by the people and this water directly affect their health. The toxic waste sometime not only get into the water but also gets mixed in atmosphere in the form of poisonous gases which leads to many air borne diseases as well as eye problem.
