Once upon a time there lived two boys. Their name was Raghu and Shyam. They were neighbors and friends since childhood. They studied in the same school and their fathers worked in the same Company.

Raghu and Shyam would come home together and play in the evenings. Sometimes they even did the homework together. They were good in studies and always stood at the top of the class.

One day when they came back from school they came to know that Shyam's father had an accident and was in the hospital. Shyam's mother was not at home. So he stayed at Raghu's place and had lunch there.

Shyam could not go to school for a few days as he had to attend to his father. The examinations were near and he could not concentrate on his studies. He had been a topper in the class but this time he failed in the examinations.

His father's health was not alright so he could not go to office and did not get a salary. In this way everything became difficult for Shyam. He was heartbroken and dejected. Raghav tried to cheer him up. He told him that it is only the weak minded people who break down under difficult circumstances and asked him to be courageous. He narrated the story of Abraham LIncoln who failed many times and faced many hardships before he could become the President of America.

Shyam felt better, he decided to work hard in studies and also do some errands at home. Soon happy times were back and he smiled and thanked his friend for his advice.
