Hari and Harry's age are in the ratio to 5:7.Four years later the ratio of their ages will be 3:4.Find their current ages.

let the Harry age be y
ratio will be x/y = 5/7
= x = 5y/7
after four year
Hari age become = x+4
Harry age become = y+4
ratio will be
x+4/y+4= 3/4= 4x+16= 3y+12
4x-3y= -4
put the value of x in it we get
4(5y/7)-3y= -4
20y/7-3y= -4
-y= -4×7
y= 28
put the value of y we get
x= 5(28)/7
x = 20

=haris age =5x
=harrys age =7x
four years later haris age =5x+4
harrys age= 7x+4 ......from first condition
5x+4\7x+4 = 3/4
= 4(5x+4)=3(7x+4)
=20x+16=21x +12
21x-20x=16-12
=x=4
=haris age=5x=5×4=20years
$harrys age =7x=7×4=28years
