Answer:

Let the cost of 1 table be Rs. x and the cost of 1 chair be Rs. y.

5x + 13y = 11850   ...... (1)

Cost Price of 5 tables = Rs. 5x

Cost Price of 13 Chairs = Rs. 13y

Selling price of 5 Tables  = 5x + (5x * 15/100) = 23x / 4

Selling price of 13 chairs  = 13y - (13y * 10/100) =  117y / 10

Now, SP - CP = Profit

So, [ (23x / 4)  + (117y / 10 ) ] - [ 5x + 13y ]  = 315

= > 3x/4 - 13y/10 = 315

= > 3x - 26y = 315 * 4 * 5

= > 3x - 26y =  6300 ...... (2)

From (1) and (2), we get

X = 1200

y = 450

x - y = 1200 - 450 = 750

So, the difference between cost price of one table and one chair is Rs 750.
