Hari wants to cover the floor of a room 30m wide and 40m long by squared tiles. If
each square tile is of side 5m, then find the number of tiles required to cover the
floor the room

Area of floor of the room = l x b
= 30 x 40
1200 sq.m

Area of each tile = s x s
= 5 x 5
25 sq.m

No.of tiles required = area of floor / area of each tile
= 1200 / 25
=48 tiles

Therefore, 48 tiles will be required for Hari to cover the floor.
