Haritha Haram is a programme introduced by Telangana CM Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao garu to increase the forest cover area of 24% to 33 % in the state.
The main objective of this programme is to plant trees and make the Telangana state green .
Advantages of Haritha Haram programme:
1. Trees are considered as lungs of Earth as they take CO2 and give fresh O2 to us which helps in respiration.
2.Decreasing Global warming.
3. Regulates the temperature.
4. Trees make the soil fertile and due to this the crop grow well.
5. Reduces pollution level.
6.Trees save the environment by getting polluted and by keeping humans healthy.
7. The major source of water is the rainfall in many areas had been declining due to decrease in forest cover. Haritha haram increases forest cover.
8.Gives shelter to various living organisms hence prevents the entry of animals from forest into near by places.
Disadvantages:
Such a great mission of plantation will not have any disadvantages if every individual tries to plant a sapling.
