Harms of superstition
Superstitions are blindly held beliefs of supernatural interventions like having a bad day if a cat crosses your path, etc. While this example might seem naive but more harmful superstition like sati are medieval social evils and should be eradicated. Superstition works against scientific attitude and makes people believe in false claims. They are used by various conman dressed as god men to lure people into giving them wealth. Superstitions also hinder development of logical mindsets among the population.
Harms of superstitions are less as of now because people are now literate.
They do not believe much in these superstitions.
This has to do with bad luck or like black cat, sneezing, widow woman, all these were the thing of past and is now vanishing.
There is no much harm. It was all about believing in bringing bad luck.
