a. Harris and the narrator decided to wake up at half-past six or 6:30 a.m. the next morning.

b. The row(argument) between the narrator, Jerome and Harris was over the wake-up time. Jerome wanted to write some letters and so wanted to stay awake late and then wake up later the next morning, but Harris wanted to wake up early and get started on the boating trip.

c. George had been asleep for some time.

d. Harris and the narrator placed the bathtub in a spot where George would inevitably fall into it. In most probability, they placed the bathtub right next to George’s bed.

e. They were annoyed with George and so they wanted to take revenge. That is why they placed the tub in a way that he would fall into it. George was supposed to wake them up, but he fell asleep before they could decide the wake-up time.
