Answer:

The laptop was bought in Rs. 14000.

The price spent in the repair was Rs. 1000

The total price spent = 14000 + 1000 = Rs. 15000.

Now, Harry wants to sell the laptop in a price that he gets 12% profit out of it.

Therefore, 12 % of Rs. 15000.

➜ 12/100 × 15000

➜ 12 × 150

➜ Rs. 1800

So, the total price in which Harry should sell his laptop to get 12 % of profit is:- 15000 + 1800 = Rs. 16800.

For more information:

  • Here, CP or the cost price was given as Rs. 14000.

  • The additional expenses was total of Rs. 1000.

  • The selling price we got is Rs. 16800.

  • By selling Harry got profit of 12%.

\huge{\bf{\underline{\red{Solution :}}}}

Given,

  • Cost Prize of the laptop = ₹14000
  • Money spent on Repair of laptop = ₹1000
  • Total Cost = ₹14000 + ₹1000 = ₹15000
  • Profit %  = 12% .

Now Find Profit From Profit Percentage Formula :

\implies \bold{Profit \% = [ \frac{Profit}{CP} \times 100] \%}

\implies \bold{ 12 = \frac{Profit}{15000} \times 100}

\implies \bold{Profit = 150 \times 12}

Profit = ₹1800

Now Find Selling Prize :

SP = total cost prize + Profit

⇒₹15000 + ₹1800

⇒₹16,800(Answer)
