Distance covered in 1 step = 125/150
1. Distance covered in 360 steps
= 125/150 * 360
= 300 m
2. Steps required to travel 1m
= 150/125
For 120 m
= 150/125 * 120
= 144 steps

Given:

Harsh takes 150 steps in walking a distance of 125 meters

To Find:

a. Distance covered by Harsh in 360 steps ?

b. How many steps would he need to cover a distance of 120 meters?

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Distance covered by harsh in 150 steps =   125 meters

∴  Distance covered by harsh in 1 step       =   \frac{125}{150} meters

      ∴  Distance covered in 360 steps               =   \frac{125}{150} \times 360

                                                                           =  300 meters

  • Distance covered by harsh in 360 steps is 360 meters

  • In 125 meter steps were taken by harsh = 150 steps

∴ In 1 meter steps were taken by harsh         =  \frac{150}{125} steps

        ∴ In 120 meters steps were taken by harsh  =   \frac{150}{125} \times 120

                                                                                 = 144 steps

  • Harsh needs 144 steps to cover the distance of 120 meters
