5 members are elected to "Rajya Sabha" by Members of the "Haryana State Legislature".

Explanation:

  • A "Member of Parliament" (MP) in the "Rajya Sabha" is the representative of the Indian state to the upper house (Rajya Sabha) of the Indian Parliament
  • Rajya Sabha MPs are usually elected by the State Assembly's elected members with "proportional representation system" by a "single transferable vote".
  • The total no. of Rajya Sabha members are generally lesser than the MPs in the "Lok Sabha"  & have more restricted powers than Lok Sabha.
  • Membership to the "Rajya Sabha" is permanent for "a term of 6 years" & cannot be "dissolved" at any time
