The relationship between technology and communication within the organisation is quite direct. Although this use of technology has brought enormous benefits to an organisation and can sometimes be linked to creating a lot of hindrance.
Benefits that the use of technology can bring are:
1) Use of email and teleconferencing makes communication much easier and faster even if the office is far away in another country.
2) It helps collect and manage data in much better and improved manner. Thus, keeping the record of all necessary information.
3) Technology in the form of softwares can be developed to fit the needs of various organisation.
4) It allows ease of communication and coordination within different departments that is the whole workplace could be linked and connected by the use of a single system.
On the other hand, various forms of hindrances are often linked with use of increased technology. These mainly are:
1) Increased accessibility of the communication can complicate boundaries between work and home life.
2) More room for open complaints and criticism by employees using online forums.
3) Workers might get distracted to the massive use of technology.
However, in my opinion, use of technology has far more benefits than drawbacks. As it helps speeding up the whole communication process. Therefore increasing the productivity for the business.
