No, in small villages of Haryana, in the 21st century,  in India womens are considered as inferior than mens, eveotection of wn after passing many laws for the womens no much change is seen in the society. Villages have panchayaat samitis were they take all the decisions of justice. They r the one who has to decide about dowry and widow rimarragies. Till now in many villages Childmarrages , hrassing womens has been very common due to the lack of seriousness shown in the goverment. If such acts are passed, by the goverment they also has to see through it that they are used properly.
