Step-by-step explanation:

Let be the shirt material= 3x meter

let be the trouser material = 2x meter

cost of per metre shirt material = 50 rupees

cost of total shirt material = 3x × 50 = 150x rupees

cost of per meter trouser material= 90 rupees

cost of total trouser material= 2x × 90 = 180x rupees

the profit in shirt material = 12%

12% of 150x = 12×150x÷100 = 18x

the sale by the shirt material = 150x + 18x = 168x

the profit in trouser material = 10%

10% of 180x = 10× 180x÷100 = 18x

sale by the trouser material = 180x + 18x = 198x

According to the question

168x + 198x = 36600

366x = 36600

x = 136600 ÷ 366

x = 100

the total trouser material he buy = 100 × 2 = 200meter

the total shirt material he buy = 100 × 3 = 300meter
