Answer:

200 m

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. Shirt = 3
  2. Trouser = 2
  1. Shirt = 3/2 * x
  2. Trouser = 2/2 * x

Cost of shirt material = 50

Cost of trouser material = 90

Cost of shirt material for 3x/2 = 50 * 3x/2 = 75

Cost of trouser material for x = 90 * x = 90x

Profit of 10% (Trousers) = 10% of 90x = 10/100 * 90x = 9x

Profit of 10% (Trousers) = 12% of 75x = 12/100 * 75x = 9x

SP of trousers = 90x + 9x =99x

SP of trousers = 75x + 9x =84x

99x + 84x = 36600

183x = 36600

x = 36600/183 = 200 m

Question :-

Hasan buys two kinds of cloth materials for school uniforms shirt material that costs him ₹50 per metre and trouser material that costs him ₹90 per metre . For every 2 meters of the trouser material he buys 3 metres of the shirt material . He sells the materials at 12 % and 10 % profit respectively . His total sale is ₹36,660 . How much trouser material did he buy ?

Solution :-

Hasan buys shirt and trouser in ratio 2:3.

Let the ratio be x.

He buys 2x m trouser & 3x m shirt material.

The cost of the shirt material :-

₹3x × 50 = ₹150x

The cost of the trouser material :-

₹2x × 90 = ₹180x

The selling price of the shirt material :-

₹150x + 12% of ₹150x

 \implies rs\quad\bigg\lgroup\bf 150x   +  \:  \frac{12}{100} \:  \times  \: 150x \bigg\rgroup

 \implies \: rs \: (150x \:  +  \: 18x) = rs \: 168x

The selling price of the trouser material :-

₹180x + 10% of ₹ 180x

 \implies rs\bigg\lgroup\bf 180x \:  +  \:  \frac{10}{100} \:  \times  \: 180x \bigg\rgroup

 \implies \: rs \: (180 x \:  +  \: 18x) = rs198x

According to the Question :-

168x + 198x = 36,660

366x = 36,660

x \:  =  \frac{36,660}{366}

100.16 (approx)

100 (approx)

the trouser material bought by him = 2 × 100m = 200m
