Hassan switches on a light bulb. He stands behind the mirror. Hassan can see the mirror but cannot see the light bulb. Why?

Mirrors are polished at one side , while the other side is rough . Polishing is done so as to create clear reflections .This means that one can only see reflections on the polished side . This is why Hassan couldn't see the ( reflection of the ) light bulb .
