Silkworm which is scientifically known as Bombyx mori which is derived from Latin words which means " silkworm of the black mulberry tree ".The silk moth lay eggs from which hatch larvae which are called caterpillars or silkworms,they grow in size and weaves itself as that form of its life is known as pupa to us
The silkworm goes through four stages in life i.e egg , larvae ,pupa and adult .Since it has to go through so much of growth developments it sheds it's skin four times while it is growing , these stages within a stage are called instars
