i suppose you mean that animals should not be given as presents to others.

though it is not that common, yet if we think about it, then we realize that actually animals are really not gifting material. you never know that the person whom you will gift a puppy likes animals or not. what if they are not taken care of? then there are lot of options in choice and colour and breed.

on a funny side, it difficult to wrap a gift paper around the animal.
