The need of soft skills at workplace

  • Soft skill play a very important role at the workplace. As a species, speech is definitely an intelligence marker which distinguishes people from other species. It seems that we have the most complex, nuanced and precise communication method ever for any species.  Here's a little difference in speech ability. It's not that it's not a sign of understanding to be able to talk well. It's not the only indication, it's not perfect.
  • An individual who has practiced and/or interacted more intensively for a longer period of time would certainly be better than a person who has little communication experience. Greater communication skills display more variables, like experience and preparation, than pure knowledge.
  • A person who thinks very normally can certainly better communicate than an individual who has a less common method of thinking. Qualitative variations in perception apart, quantifiable variations in complexity and thought speed can have a significant impact on communication. You can be too knowledgeable for people to interact effectively.
  • If people can not remain mentally with you, they will probably not be able to live up to your communication style and to follow your logic internally. Indeed, you might say that the nearer a person is the closer they are to average, the better they are in communication because they have a wider variety of people who could understand them.
  • Speaking as an intelligence test completely discount  the autism spectrum of people, people who can not talk for various reasons etc. In the past, many scientists and artists have been incredibly bad in communication and have significantly contributed to the intellectual growth of the world among them Isaac Newton. This is definitely not an objective criterion for assessing an individual's ability to think critically.
  • Take the time to always think before you talk. A wise man can speak only if he needs to. A naive person can blurt something without thought, if it's worth talking about it. Ultimately, using an individual's ability to speak/communicate effectively is not an objective or comprehensive measure of intelligence
