The “camels have nucleated RBCs” story is just another stubborn myth. Like in all mammals, camelerythrocytes(RBCs) do have a nucleusand other organelles when first formed (in bone marrow), and in all mammals, these are ejected upon maturity (making more room for oxygen transporting hemoglobin).
