Changes in forest area.
Explanation:
- The place where I used to live had vast stretches of wasteland some 15 -16 year ago.
- It was full to bushes, Plum trees, Neem Trees and Indian plum trees.
- The bushes and tress were home to birds and butterflies.
- Me and some my friend used to uproot the dry bushes and flap its leaves so that we could use the bush to catch butterflies.
- The empty land served as a playground for the children, they used to explore the locality. They used to climb the plum tree and saviour the juicy plums for free.
- During the lands used to be full of water and one could easily hear the croaking of frogs.
- Gradually, the area got populated, the empty land vanished as houses were built over it.
- Now there are no butterflies, the land doesn't get flooded during the monsoon, even the sparrows are hardly visible.
- The urbanisation destroyed their habitat.
- Although there was no forest, but the area was full of trees. All the treed were cut down, few trees are left now.
